looking to build a NA monster with a 400DP shot for those pesky tube chassis cars...
id like to know the following
how large a cam and how much compression can you use with 110 leaded race gas
and how large a cam and how much compression can you use with 93
also what are the pros and cons of a solid roller motor that sees 2-3 days a week of street "playing?"

You can run a pretty good sized cam and still run pump gas... Don't really know exactly what size, but compression & timing are the main things to look at. I have personally run 11.5:1 and had ZERO problems with knock/detonation with 93 or even 89..
I'm believe you could run 12:1 compression with rather large cam and get by with some good quality 93 octane gas... Just don't turn the timing up too high.. I don't really know how big you could go with race gas, but I'm sure that just about anything would be ok with 110..
