valve clearance???

Default valve clearance???

ok im putting a t-rex in a buddy's car tomorrow and i was wondering if on a stock ls1 bottom end will i have Piston to valve clearance problems with a set of patriot 5.3 stg II heads? i am not for sure but i dont think the heads are milled but im not for sure what Patriot does to them??

Pretty sure those heads have 1.575 exhaust valves = flycutting.

If ANYTHING has been done to the heads, ie. bigger valves or milling, you will need to flycut.

Ya it wont clear I asked thunder about this a while a ago and they said that even with just after market valves on stock heads they have had problems.

Depending on valve size more than likely fly cutting is going to be required

the cutting tool goes in the head after you have the Measurement you set the stop on the tool then drill

You can rent a tool from Isky and others and do it in the car. There's a thread around here somewhere...

I'm confused. You have the exact same setup listed in your sig. Did you have clearance issues? Why it would it be any different with your buddies setup? LG Motorsports also rents the cutting tool and mockup head.
