ARP Head Studs??

ARP Head Studs?? How many people run these studs in a STREET car? Not just a weekend warrior? Im having problems with the nuts backing out on me. And was wondering if anyone else is? I do drive my car every day. Im thinking about just putting some ARP bolts if im gonna have to retighten them all the time.

TTT I just ordered a set of studs from scogg & dickey and i would like to know this also..i have done countless sets of heads on lt1 cars and the studs always loosen up after about 2000 miles of street driving...i am tempted to cancel the order and go with arp bolts because i dont want that crap to happen to me also while street driving

Re: ARP Head Studs?? Guys this is not because you are running head studs. Its because head gasket settles after several heat cycles. This happens with bolts also, you need to retorque after initial install.If studs are torqued properly to 75% of their yield strength they will not loosen up. Any other problems would indicate gasket or block thread problems.
Re: ARP Head Studs?? i know I am scared also LOL...with my new set up I am spraying a very healthy dose of nitrous...and i dont want a loose stud with that much cylinder pressure!...screw it im going with ARP head bolt's..iv'e been waiting on my studs for over a month now anyways..when i can call jegs and have them here in 2 days...i dont wanna be driving outta town and blow a head gasket in another state or something..damn im scared now <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> oh well time to order some bolts <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> good luck to everyone else, im not trying to scare stud owners either lol sorry if i did.it's not intentional just tryin to help...later,

I run studs and Fel Pro for my daily driver and theres no question they clamp better than bolts.
