Default T-Rex Question

What is the widest LSA I could go w/ for a cam with the same intake and exhaust duration as the T-Rex (242/248) I was hoping i could reach for a 112LSA but unsure of P-V clearance i do not want to flycut/notch the pistons. What other factors will i need to take into consern as well?

thanks for any help the more detailed and explained the post the better off i am thanks fellas

With the T-rex being cut on a 110 LSA, you should gain P/V clearence by going to the wider LSA. I know alot of consideration went into the placement of the valve events in relation to where the piston is on this cam, so it might be best to speak to Geoff at thunder to get a deffinate answer.

well if im not mistaken the wider LSA would cause the exhaust valve to open later, causing it to open and close while the piston is closer to TDC. wouldnt that be a reason why it would lose P-V clearance hense the reason they made the LSA so short on the T-Rex? Or do i have this totally backwards?

Thanks
Adam
