Under the curve

Under the curve Im pretty new @ this. I read its best to have power under the curve. If so would the tr 224 112 or 114lsa be good? If not whats cam is good for keeping some of the power under the curve or what not?

Under the curve power is useable power for daily driving. At the drag strip, or for roll racing, peak power is better, because you're staying over 4500rpms.
TR224 is a great "under the curve" cam, as power and tq come on strong very low in the rev range. So, for immediate response, or for a stoplight race where you're not leaving at 5K rpms (like when you're sitting at the tree at the strip), more like when you're launching below 3K rpm, the TR224 will shine. And the beauty of this cam, is that it actually has a healthy pull trough the upper mid and high end- just not as much high end as a larger cam.

As you have found out, 416 & a flat torque curve is a contender. No doubt about it.
