Default LS1 main girdle... Any Believers?

Is it worth the 500 plus bucks for an aluminum high HP block?

I do not think it is worth it. Might make you feel better but I do not hear that is a weak area in ls1s.

I know guys in NMRA that run almost 500 flywheel hp on 2 bolt main 302 blocks and that block looks old and obsolete compared to an ls1 block.
