A recurring problem on my LS6, idle sticking at high revs esp when cold however now permanent and so car undriveable, burning the clutch up. Suggestions so far : carbon in tb, idle sensor sticking.
Having removed the idle speed control motor it was coated with carbon however stiff as a board. I was advised to pull out the stopper to max to reset the idle to default however this hasn't helped. The rubber stopper is a pig to move and i can't beleive with the force needed to pull it out the spring does anything at all. How can i free it up or is it always tough, is there a GM part no for a replacement.
Thanks in advance
Rob
