Default TSP 228R and Comp918 springs ??

just wondering if the 918 springs would be good enough to handle the TSP 228R cam? It would only see track about 6 times a year and its a daily driver. What retainers would i need to fit the Comp 918 springs. I hear that the stock retainers dont really fit these springs too well. i dont want the Ti retainers. Cant you tell im trying to save money. Thanks In Advance guys!!

918's work fine. Stock retainers OK. Titanium or Comp Steel replacements (cheaper) better.

I'm sure alot of the sponsors can get ahold of them. I'm not sure of the price difference between the Ti, and stainless though. You might want to wait, and save the extra few bucks and grab the good Ti retainers and be done with it? Maybe look for a used set on here, I've seen them around quite a bit for fairly cheap. Just an idea.
