MS3 I hear that they idle good at 1k.

j/k!

But to answer your question: f11, f13, or f14 even would do the trick. upgrade your valvetrain with whatever you choose though.

springs, oil pump, and timing chain are the minimum that you have do. you can do retainers, pushrods and everything but is not needed for a cam swap.

Pushrods needed pretty much indeed.

Yep $$ and it never ends. LOL. Sure is fun though! At a minimum, valve springs, push rods, oil pump, and timing chain.

Take a look at Futral Motorsports line of cams. The F6 cam on a 114 LSA would work pretty well for what you want. If you don't already, you really should get a set of long tubes before or the same time as the cam install. To get the best gains with a cam, LT's are a must. You could also look into the Cheater cam. It's around 211/230 with a wide LSA. It'll sound like stock and would work ok with the stock manifolds.

oh i aint going for anywhere near stock sounding..i like a nice loud lope at idle...but i dont want to put a cam bigger than what the stock heads can handle if that makes sense i guess...still learning the ls1...but i want power and good strong "unstock" lope
