brown looking foam on oil cap

Default brown looking foam on oil cap

Well i was looking into getting a ws6. everythign on the car was good but when i took the oil cap off .it had some brown foamy stuff on cap an the very end of the tube where you screw the cap on at.. is this somthing to be worried about like water in the oil or what? I know that dodges all aluminum V8's do the same thing new? is it a bad design in the pcv system or jsut the all aluminum block ? thanks agian

It's usually condensation from not driving it enough to heat up the oil.

My wife's BMW does that, but she only drives 5 miles to work. My Pontiac used to do the same thing when she drove it to work, now that I am driving it and I go 25 miles to work, oil cap is cleaner. If you are really concerned, ask to draw an oil sample and send it to Blackstone for analysis. Better yet, request Terry Dyson analysis, #46.

Yes, the vehicles in my sig all have that issue but its not a problem, just wipe the cap off when you change your oil.

same problem here, Mine is like a milky sludge that forms on the cap..Oil is clean though, so I am not concerned
