change oil light
change oil light Today my change oil light started coming on every time I start my car. It turns off after I drive about a quarter of a mile. I just changed my oil about 1500 miles ago with mobil 1. Anyone else experience this or know why it's happening?
You're supposed to reset it everytime that you change your oil. This will make the "Change Oil" light go away until the PCM has determined that it is time to change your oil again. This is how you reset it:
1) Turn the key in the ignition to ACC
2) Hold in the Trip/Oil reset button (on the gauge cluster) until you see the
"Change Oil" light flash a few times.
3) Turn the key in the ignition back to off.
The "Change Oil" light will have been reset.
