took heads off to replace lifter, just reinstall?

Default took heads off to replace lifter, just reinstall?

do i need to have anything done to my heads? i just pulled them off to replace a lifter, or can i just put them back on?

You'll need new head gaskets and new head bolts (unless they are MLS and ARPs)
Also check your intake gaskets (might need to replace those).

You can put them back on. replace bolts though or put back on if you have head studs. Now would be optimal time to mill!

that is what i was asking, if i would need to have them surfaced of pressure tanked or anything like that?

Just clean the block and head surfaces, no need to mill or machine anything unless you're looking to increase cr. Gaskets and bolts aren't too expensive, if they are the stock pieces replace them.
