Ok, the 224/224 .563/.563 112 LSA and The Lunati is 224/224 .560/.560 112+4 basically the same? What are the differences? And I am going for a daily driver cam, would they both be fine or which would be better or does it matter? Please help asap.

one has more .003 more lift on intake and exhaust, the other has 4 degrees of advance ground into the cam.

Either would really be fine IMO, the TR is known to make great power (especially for size), and I dont think you could go wrong w/ any TR cams.

 

I was wondering because I was originally going to buy the tr 224 package which encludes springs and everything for $600. BUt right now I could buy the lunati cam for $200. So thats why I was asking. Thanks for the reply. I'll wait and buy the cam package from tr.

 

If you have a good deal from Lunati, really no reason not to get it unless you want to spend more money.

You are going to need new springs and push rods, so kits are usually a pretty good deal.

 

There is one thing, it's been awhile and maybe someone can set me straight if I'm wrong but, the TR224 uses a more aggressive lobe to help with idle and low end power.

That said if you can get the lunati + springs, push rods, and whatever else is in TR's kit for a good bit cheaper then I don't think it'd be a bad buy.

 

Is there any advance on the TR cam? If not, the lobes of the TR might be offset by the advance in the Lunati......however, I'm not sure exactly HOW much effect the aggressive lobes of TR effect low end. If you can pick your advance with the TR.....go TR, IMO.

 

Difference is in the lobe design. Lunati uses its own ramp rates.
Either will be fine.

 

The TR224 has +4° built in. So that's the same.
