Do heads really make that much of a difference?

what about swapping in some 6.0l heads? whats the gain over stock?

As 6.0L heads may have the same port design as LS6 heads (good), but the combustion chamber size alone will drop compression significantly (bad).

6.0L heads are usually welded up in the chamber to reduce chamber volume. Patriot's "LS6 Style" heads are a perfect example. They're available in 59cc.

Heads will typically gain about 35-40rwhp. I just recently finished up a brand new PRC ls6 port that flows some crazy air I'm going to be setting up some dyno results soon so keep your eyes open & I'll post up the results!
