Default Which Cam To Go With?

Hey, I have a 2000 Firehawk. The only thing I have done to it is a SLP Loudmouth exhaust. Thinking about changing out the Cam to either a Hot Cam from GM or something better but dont know what. I just want to do a cam and maybe later heads. What is a good Cam to go with for a daily driver?

What about long tube headers? Those go on first.
If no long tubes, then get the Thunder Racing CheaTR cam which is designed for stock exhaust manifolds.

Also, read JRP's Cam Guide at the top of this forum.

I would start with reading JRP's cam guide, as suggested before. Then do some searches for "hotcam". That will give you about an hours worth of reading.

If you are an auto I would do a nice stall before a cam. you will have better managed power that way.

First do bolt ons,
Headers+Y>lid>ported TB>LS6 intake
once you got those on decide on a cam as you might need gears/stall/clutch to support your choice.
