Stock LS1 -> 383 LS1
Best route, what all is involved, is a forged crank needed, for high compression ~ 11.5:1 or more. 91-93 octane...possible and designed for street not strip >> longevity. LS6 intake, pp 241 heads or maybe 205s, cam equivalent to an F11 for a 383, Springs, will stock lifters work, will i have to go above .060 lift? etc. Please educate me....THANKS!

i did 11:1 on 92 octane...think you can get away with 11.5:1.
dont need a forged crank for a cheap rebuild.
stock lifters will work
use at least 240+ cam so you dont leave power on the table
heads are where the power is...use AFR or ETP.....

The more i see those TSP shortblocks, the more i want to rob a bank for one lol. What do you think about that Texas Giant Cam with the 248/254 for your set-up? Don't know the exact specs for it, but i think it should make some really sick power on a 383.
