Default tach doesnt work

well i've had one hell of a time with my cam install.... its been just one problem after another! after i installed my hot cam and fired her up, my tach didnt work and the car ran like ####. I just got a tune by pcmforless and replaced the cam sensor, crank sensor, etc in efforts to fix this.... and my tach still doesnt work! the car idles fine and everything sounds good, but just the tach doesnt work! any ideas of what is going on here? thanks

My tach stopped wrking when my three cam bolts loosened up allowing the cam to walk backward in the block. The reluctor groove machined into the cam was out of allignment with the cam sensor which gave me a CMP High Signal error. I would check to see if you have that error, maybe they turned it off when they tuned you? Or mybe the cam was installed or even ground incorrectly.
