Default motor swap???

Can u put a 2000 trans am ls1 block and heads in a 98 trans am, i know the computers are different would u have to change computers, and like i know u cant use a 98 block and 2000 heads cause the 98 have perimeter bolts and the 00 are center. see i know where a whole 00 car is wrecked but its only got 80k on it, its a complete car it fires up and runs good. i wont to take that block out and build it and work the heads and put it in my 98 will it work? or do i have to use a 98 style block , see i wont to build it and have it waitin and one more thing dont the 00 block have the ls6 intake?

should work fine, the 98 heads will work fine, the valve covers are just different, not the actual heads. The only difference in the 98 block is that it cant be bored as much due to a thinner sleeve. 2000 doesnt have the LS6 intake, they started those in 01. I think thats about all of your questions. I'm not sure about the computer, but i would think that you could just use the harness out of the 98, and that would work. I may be wrong, but i think thats how it should be.

the 00 might have the same heads as your 98 on it, if it has 241 castings on it you want to use those heads though
