Question a quick question about storing my SS

My 2002 has been resting in my garage for the last couple of months. I keep a trickle charger on the battery to keep it fully charged. The other day a neighbor said I would be better off disconnecting the battery and storing it inside the house rather than constantly recharging it. My question is would it harm the computers being without power for a few months? What do you guys think would be the correct thing to do?

Nope...won't hurt the on board computers. If it was me, I'd leave it hooked up to my Battery Tender in the car. I hate reprogramming my radio

Depends, a float charger (like battery tender) is perfect for long term storage. There are components which measure the charge and will not over charge. A traditional trickle charger pumps a constant amount of current into the battery regardless of how charged it is. Therefore if you have a float charger you're fine. If you have a trickle charger replace it!

Battery Tender, it won't overcharge like an old fashioned trickle charger.

I completely agree with your neighbor.
It's better not to have current flowing through the system while it's being stored.
