Shim them and use titanium retainers. More power, better harmonics. I ran .610 lifts with them shimmed .100 from coilbind with no issues. That thing revved to the moon.

well add this to the fact that i have my eye set on another bike for the spring/summer...it will be around the grand' range give or take for the cam and that is installing it myself. ( with tune and all ) i'm gonna see if i can't work 7 days a week now lol. i have no bills and make decent cash, so we'll see, don't jump my *** if i go with the bike and not modding the car guys lol.

What a lot of people dont realize is that the 918's used to be rated to .615" until their 921's came out. It is just a marketing scam for them to sell more dual springs. Shimmed 918's can easily handle .625" without fear.

Not really a scam as much as a marketing tool.

I just ordered heads and the 233/239 cam from TSP and after a little research and advice from TSP I had the PRC springs put on because of the fact that the 233/239 cam is ground on xer lobes which are very agressive compared to the 231/237 being ground on not so aggressive lobes.

just my .02 though
