Default better flow- 5.3L or 5.7l?

Do 5.3L heads fitted with 5.7L sized valves flow better than stock 5.7L LS1 heads?

Do either head have an advantage once 2.02/1.57 valves are fitted?

Other than smaller combustion chambers for higher compression, is there any characteristic of a 5.3L which would be superior to a 5.7L?

This is for street NA use with camshaft lifts below .581".

TEA Stage 1 5.7L Heads retain stock valves and provide stellar low to mid lift flow numbers, for about $1000.
Their 1.5 5.3L head will outperform them past .550 lift.

I can obtain stock(unported) LS6 heads for about $1000. Would these be a better alternative to a lightly worked 5.7L or 5.3L(with larger valves)?

Considering a GT2-3 or similar stealth camshaft.

^ Ah, I was talking about 241 castings, not 243's.

For $1000, check out Texas Speed, Patriot and Livernois for their CNC ported 243 casting LS6 heads, assembled. They're as cheap as $850.

To answer your question, either the ported ls6 heads or a good 5.3 would make a good match to that cam.

Initially so was I. But thought to add in the other 5.7L alternative after viewing pricing options.
