Default Oil Pan baffle Clearance?(windage tray?)

I am putting together an iron block 408. It has an eagle 4.000 crank and callies compstar rods with ARP bolts. The bolts are not clearing the oil pan baffle. It is hitting on several rod cap bolts. I was wondering if anyone has dealt with this by stacking like 2 washed on each main cap stud and then setting the baffle on those. Or if i should just clearance the **** out of the baffle. Some may need to go all the way through though. Any input would be appreciated !!

You can space it with washers or bang the windage tray with a ball peen hammer.

I think most people will space the windage tray with washers. That's what I've always done.

I had the same problem using ARP studs they came with an extra set of washers to raise the tray. also had to massage the oil pump pick up bracket just slightly for the pipe to fit snug back into the oil pump.

What exactly did you modify the oil pump pick up?
