Question Which spring should I run?

I just recently bought a pair of 5.3 stage II Patriot heads assembled with dual springs and titanium retainers. I have 918's on my stock heads right now with 7.4 pushrods. My cam is 232/238 .595/.605 114LSA. Should I switch the springs or run the new heads as is? Am I going to lose any HP? Will I have to change pushrods with either springs on the new heads?

I just want to make sure I am doing the right thing. Thanks for any and all advice/opinons.

John

Leave them in, patriot makes a good dual spring. If you have hardened push rods already, your good to go.

My buddy has a set of 5.3 heads that have longer valves installed. Might want to check to see if your geometry is correct. We mocked up the 5.3 and a 5.7 head side by side and the same pushrod stuck past the deck .050 more on the 5.3's, which means they require shorter pushrods. Neither head was milled any. Just as an FYI as the stock hydraulic lifter should be able to absorb the difference in length.
