Default Replacing intake, what else should I get?

I'm going to be replacing my intake with an LS6, and figured that if I was in there I might as well see if there's anything else I can check/replace. What do you recommend? Valve springs, etc?

Well you'll need the 2 coolant plugs for the back and the coolant cross over for the front. If you're unlucky like me you'll need a new oil sending unit too. Just be extremely carefull when pulling the intake off. Trust me it's as easy as they say to break. Don't see why'd you do springs since you're not doing a cam, but that's just my .02.

Is there an install guide anywhere? I can't find one.

www.ls1howto.com there is an install guide for heads/cam that has a small section in it for the intake manifold. If you have oil consumption problems now would be the time to do the 2002+ PCV upgrade while the intake is off. There are also instructions for this on the ls1howto website.

port your throttle body if you haven't already, that would be at least a couple more ponies

i replaced the intake gaskets at the same time (my car had 140,000 miles on it though)

just be careful not to break off the oil pressure sending unit, removing the drivers side coil pack will give you a bit more room. what happens is that the line going to the brake booster chops the top off the pressure sending unit and its not good, mine sprayed oil everywhere.
