Default push rod lengths?

what length push rod do I need to use with this cam?

232/234 .600/.599 112 lsa

stock heads and stock lower end.

7.4's or 7.375's?

7.4 unless specified by the company you bout the cam from. There is no reason to run a smaller pushrod unless you milled the heads.

you might need 7.425's because when you get more lift the base circle on each lobe gets smaller as the lift increases. i have a 228/232 .588/.574 and i need 7.425's stock motor just an fyi you could get by with the 7.4s though might get a little noise

I was talking to the shop that had the cam. It is a custom ground cam and he said that if I use the 7.4's, the rocker arms wont line up properly. He told me to use the 7.375's. Is he pullin my chain or something?

BTW...the specs are just like in the first post except the durations. Its a 230/233. It also has 7 degrees of overlap on it.

Your base circle of the cam is almost certainly smaller than stock. My opinion is if your mechanic checked the length with a pushrod checker they would find the correct length is probably closer to 7.425.... definatly not 7.375
