ASR is your traction control. You may have left something unhooked that goes to that box under the hood. Follow yout throttle cable around into that box and check to make sure everything is hooked up. Looks like you just found a cheap ASR delete mod. I know people whove paid up to $200 to have that deleted.

Depends on what year you are too. I pulled my fuse so it is always on. that was the -$0.60 method!

I hate having it on. I like having the light off however. There is a noticeable difference if you chirp the tires or accelerate too hard with the ASR on. There is a piece that you can get that will shut the light off and disable ASR. I think SLP has one and it is like 60$ or something outrageous. Personally that is a rip off. I would put a piece of electrical tape over the light to just stop seeing it...but I am too lazy to do that.

It is the black box that has a slip cover on it adjacent to the battery next to the A/C dryer.
You can lift the top of it off. But I dont really think that would be where the problem is at. You might want to check the fuse.

Pull the top off of your fuse box under the hood, and it should say TCS or ASR on there. Not sure if it is a 10 or a 25 though.

do tuning programs like LS1Edit change around your ASR so the car can turn with it off instead of on?

Thats normal. Until you get a good complete tune, your going to get all kinds of lights. I've been driving around with a F14 since Dec. 30th with no tune, and I could write a book on all the weird crap thats happened to me.

1st. Your probally going to throw a few TPS Codes. ASR(traction control) ties into the TPS. If your ECM thinks your TPS is scewy its going to turn OFF the ASR because it feels it cant properly control it. You can reset your TPS sensor and that will help, but because of the cam it'll throw the code again in about a week.

2nd. If you start throwing MAP codes, check for vacumn leaks. If you have none, double check the rubber elbow and plastic vacumn line on the back where the MAP is, they can crack easliy and you wont know it. Plus, if you did !airpump/smog. Then you must block off the vacumn line that comes off the EVAP that went to the control for the !airpump that is located on the drivers side head, on the back of the head under the cowl. Now, if the light becomes intermittent, there for a couple minutes, then clears itself. Then its just your cam throwing you ECM a couple hardballs.

3rd. If your auto, you better let it warm up and get out of open loop before you EVEN think of putting it in R or D. You'll stall. No questions on that. If your a M6, keep it under 3k till the engines nice and warm.

Thats about what I have to contribute. Any questions ask, or send me a PM.

I doubt you have anything unplugged or any fuses blown. There are some paramaters that need to be changed in the PCM to prevent this from happening with big cams.
