car troubles after cam swap I did a cam, push rods swap and now i got smoke from my number eight cylinder from burning oil. It was the only plug i pulled out that was soked in oil. But I only did a cam swap with the heads on the car so the clyinder was never exsposed. Well the car starts and runs a lil rough like its missing had the ls1 edit put on it so i know the mis is not from that. it wasnt that big of a cam so i kept the stock spring in it so could that be a problem. I've run about 800 mi on it so any idea its the normal finger print smoke can be disragared. But like i said the only clinder geting oil is the number 8 so help or insight could be helpful.

You need to change the srpings but I would check your spark plug wire. Is it oil or black soot? If black soot, it is not firing correctly and likely just the wire not connected properly. I recently did the same thing so start with the simple things.

look into PAC beehive springs. they are a little cheaper then comps and just as good. and surely you aren't gonna say that no one told you that you needed to replace valve springs???
