gmpp ls6 cam kit hi guys i was wondering about the ls6 cam and springs. how much power will i gain from the swap?
will it lope at all or sound like the car does now?
will i need new lifters when i do the swap?

Everyone I have talked with about cams has wished they had gone bigger than and ls6 cam, though it is a decently good setup. My two cents are on the GMPP hot cam kit, little bit bigger, but stock sounding.

Thats the cam and lifter set up I went with. It sounds pretty close to stock but it did get me a up to 333rwhp with a tune. Also got the block bored 30over and the heads decked ( not sure how much that had to do with it though). I do wish I had gone with something bigger though, especially since I put the money into a tune anyway.
Yes and Yes, I know GM says some years (I think 01 and earlier allowed for no bore- junk the block and some newer models would allow for .005 honing but I found a kit and figured I try it. I know I'll probably never gone FI or NOS so it shouldnt be a problem- just wanted a little more gettie up and a couple more cubic inches. 5k miles now so far so good!!!!!
