Default going F13, 112 or 114?

Im going with a F13, what kind of power and streetability differences between 114 and 112? Id like to throw a 112 in there, but this is my DD, and I had a 112 in my TA, the surging didnt really bother me if thats the only complaint, I dont know why people whine about surging. But if the power is similar, then Ill just go with a 114.

Oh no! Smog! lol, **** smog. What kills me is the governator has like 5 Hummer's, and one of them is fitted with an LT1 with longtubes. I love Arnie, but after he passed a bill the year before last pushing the years cars were exempt from smog back I lost a little respect for him.

Yeah worse comes to worse Ill put a stock cam in when It comes time to pass the sniffer.

holy ****. Only downside to your set up is you gotta keep an eye on your mirror, and everywhere for that matter as if you romp on it and a cop is within a 5 mile radius you better get out of dodge.

I had SLP's loudmouths with my LT's and my neighbors threatened to sign a petition and give it to the police if I didnt "quiet" the car down. So I got the stock Ti back on there now.

I would run a G5x3 but I hear the duration on the exh side is over 240, with PP stg. 2 heads 1.57 exh valve I cant run that much duration without running into P 2 V problems.

How driveable is your 112? Any low speed stalling surging etc?

my car is so friggin loud its rediculous but thats the way i like it. surprizingly i havent got pulled over for loud exhaust. I had the 114 on my car my next cam will be at a 110 lsa through the same exhaust. the x3 on 114 drove awesome.....except when i turned on the ac in traffic lol.

So you recommend 112? Why did you go with a 114 instead of a 112 on the x3?

the x3 is a little bit bigger than the f13 so the 112 would be cool for you.difference is prolly a little more torque at lower rpm.

112 will give you a tighter power band and 114 will spread it out more.

I agree. Allan recommended the F-13 on a 112lsa with a manual tranny when I ordered mine because you'll get a little more low-end. If you decide on the F-13 112lsa +4, I still have mine NIB, Manely duals/ti retainers, hardened PR. I could save you a few bucks. PM if interested. Good Luck man.

go with the fm13 on a 112 mine doesnt surge and you dont have to spin the motor as high as a 114 to make power

Is there a big difference between the F14/F13?

Their numbers arent very different...

I'd like to get a F14, but not if it's a little too much for a daily driver...

I have the F13 on a 112 on my Z06 and I'm glad I went with this over the 114. The advantage is that this cam will peak sooner than a 114 and you will see more low and midrange torque. The cam sounds just right with a nice lope but not too radical. I don't experience any surging or drivability issues with this cam. I highly recommend it.
