ls2 cam gear

ls2 cam gear I just changed my timing set on a 2001 ws6 and would like to know if is o.k. to run the ls2 cam gear on the ls1? I ran a search on this an noticed everyone is running the chain but not the sprockets.
You can use it if you want, but there is no real need to use it on a LS1 car. It's designed to supply the signal for the LS2 cam sensor which is located on the front timing cover.

I'll probably change back to my old gear. I guess its ok to run the ls2 since their the same dimension, as for as the gear is concerned it just seems weird running an old one with a new chain. Thanks for your help.
