Default Checking for Proper Pushrod Length

I'm going to begin pulling the engine on my Y2K Corvette hardtop next weekend. I need a solid roller lifter or a modified hydraulic roller lifter to check for proper pushrod lenght. I can order a new, stock lifter and modify it (make it solid) but I'd rather not destroy a good lifter (and save $40). Does anyone on the forum have an old lifter they would be willing to sell? Thanks.

You can pump it up by hand to make it more solid, which is what I plan on doing. I am also using checking springs, but they don't leave a very discernable pattern due to the light pressure. Since I am installing Morel lifters, ruining one of those is out of the question.
