Default PRC vs. TEA

i currently have a set of tea stage 1.5 heads (with stock valves) uninstalled that i bought used for $1000. the heads are in good condition and there is nothing wrong with them. i was on TSPs web site last night and i can get ported LS6 heads with 2.04 and 1.575 valves for $1300. i was offered $1250 for the TEA heads i have now, should i sell mine and buy the PRCs? which do ya'll think would flow better?

here is a link to both: http://www.totalengineairflow.com/pr.../gmhead/gmls1/

I more than happy with my 1.5s. I wouldnt change them unless I were going 402 or bigger. When my 95,000 mile shortblock gives up Ill just build an all forged 347 with a MS3 or G5X4 and roll with the ole 1.5s after a freshen up.

Considering the new heads would be going on a 383, I'd get some new 243's with bigger valves too. You could definitely benifit from the bigger valve and runner sizes. Shop around, a lot of good sponsors are doing 243's for a great price.

i talked to a guy today at TEA and i can get a pair of stage 2 bare 5.3 castings, with 2.02/1.57 valves for $1400, so if i can sell my 1.5s i will buy them

the ls6 heads are going to have more ptv clearance then the 5.3's if that matters to you, also the runner on ported ls6 heads are bigger then on the 5.3 heads and might be better for your stroker motor, i have tea 1.5 5.3 heads and they gave me 30rwhp over my stock ls6 heads just to give you an idea

the heads you have do not have stock valves, they have a stock exhaust valve and a 2.02 intake valve.
