Most will tell you there is no way to be sure unless you check with a pushrod length checker ect ect but I will tell you my experience with the TR 224 I had.
Stock heads, 7.4's and the TR224 worked great but I always had what I considered to be excessive valve train noise. So off the recommendation of a few members to try the 7.425 I bought a used set and a pushrod length checker....I did the math first (used a formula I found on here) and then checked the length with the pushrod length checker on only one cyl. It confirmed that the 7.425's were the right length....However the a day or two later I decided to change the cam and mill the heads so I never did install the 7.425's but based on how quiet my valvetrain is now (used the math and checker) I am certain that in my application the 7.425's would have quieted everything down and been the correct length.
I know I didn’t directly answer your question, just thought I'd share my experience...........
