Sounds like he's just some independent builder I assume? I would go with a more reputable sponsor if I were you. Just to be safe. No offense to this guy.

Me 2. There are too many reputable sponsor's on this board. Unless he's a close friend, I'd call up some sponsors.

Never heard of him.. I am going to be buying a shortblock from LME soon. they seem to have one of the best reputations. And Engine building is their bussiness...

Give eastside a call, they do excellent work, if a motor is what you are looking for, they can take care of your needs 100%

I've heard of him...if it is the same one. Did move from Dayton, OH to Florida or something? If he did, then he is a smart guy.

If it's the same one I have heard of then I've heard he has made some pretty nice LT1's. Some LT1 guys in the area say he is the only guy they let touch their cars.

Yea, I think I remember him for Cz28.com. Pretty good from what I can recall.

Do some looking around in the Midwest section. If this is the same guy I'm thinking of have a look at some of his port work and a stick welded Y-pipe.

I haven't heard of him, but that doesn't mean much. Not every shop cares to spend their days on the forum. Just ask to speak with some of his former customers that had a 408 buildup. That'll tell you what you need to know.

i'd say that you obviously want this done once, and right. Go with a proven LSX builder.

LT1 Dave is pretty knowledgeable. Just put a stock 6.0 liter shortblock with a cam and patriot hand finished heads at 500 rwhp through a 4.57 geared 9". Pretty damn good if you ask me. I would trust him. He does a ported LS2 intake as well that had some damn good numbers. I have seen a lot of his lt1 work and have never heard anything bad about him.

Dave is building my car as we speak (or type, if you will). Dave has done work on my car in the past and I have been VERY pleased with everything he has done.
