Default best reliable power for $2000

I have about $2000 that i can spend now, maybe can get some more if needed, but i'm really impatient and haven't put anything on my car in like a year and a half.. so, i have been looking at headers/y-pipe , heads/cam, intake manifold, strokers, turbos, superchargers.. pretty much anything to get me more power..

i currently have: MTI lid/knn, stupid FREE RamAir mod/descreened MAF, 160 stat, Borla Catback, 4.10(4.11 whatever the heck it is) gears, LSStick, Hypertech Programmer, SLP Convertible SFCs, BMR LCAs. thats all i can think of.. Its on my 2000 M6 WS6 convertible

i have so much trouble saving up money and really want more from my car. Any help is greatly appreciated.. Please give me some ideas.. I have little knowledge of engines, so that kind of work would probably have to be done in a local shop..

thanks
sean

can get a cam and install for that money. if you turn your own wrenches you could add heads, and possibly an ls6 intake to the equation.

See ls1howto.com for a step by step pictorial on a h/c swap. Its not that hard.

once upon a time a friend told me that its useless changing the cam unless i change the intake man too, and i figured that meant i might as well go for the headers and y-pipe.. so you think i should go with a cam first.. with a cam alone, am i looking at am SOTP difference..? i guess it needs to be done at some point anyways.. any more suggestions??

i pretty much just did this, but i already had headers, and an LS6 intake.

I bought a TR227 cam from thunder racing with valve springs, and pushrods.
$599
Ram clutch, with hydraulics
$700
Oil pump, timing chain
$200
The rest would leave you some money for mac midlengths, then save for a tune...

Atleast thats the way i am going. its all sitting in my room though, im waiting till spring break for the install. Everything myself.

With CHEATr cam, you could make a lot of power with stock exhaust manifolds, and plow the rest of the $$$ into gears, LCA's and a small wet shot. Do the exhaust when save up more dough, and you can do it in manageable pieces, $$-wise.

[EDIT] 400+ rwhp for sure
