Best place to get a TR224 cam kit? Where is the best place to get a TR224 cam kit for a 2000 Trans Am? If you haven't noticed I drive a mustang. Gone is the ole 302ci (wrecked in jan after being hit by a lady who ran a redlight) I now have a 97 cobra. I just ordered my friend some flowtech headers 244.99 from tbryne motorsports with a spec stage 1 clutch 269.99 and flotech O/R Y-pipe for 109.99 now he needs a cam kit! In case you're wondering the cobra has stock manifolds (why do L/T for cobras cost 580+?? X-pipe, BBK cold air kit and 3.73's! With the break I beat my friend's T/A by 2 cars. From a 20mph roll he holds me back half a car unitl 5th when i pass him cuz he has 4.10's. From a dig on 3 he beat me by 3 cars. He also has Nitto 555r's mounted on Cragar wheels on the rear. I have 255/45/17 Sumi's.

The actuall TR224 and kit can be had from thunderacing, they are a sponsor, Texas speed (also a sponsor) has a very similar cam and kit, i think its a little less expensive tho.

I think the kit on Thunder Racing is 589.99 and he's running low on income tax money. But thanks for the info on Texas Speed! He's looking for low 12's with just bolt/ons and a cam. His car is an M6 too. I'm waiting for my 94 to be paid off by the insurance company then i'm supercharging the cobra. License Plate will read VNMSNK! Hopefully i'll luck up on a bonus or some extra cash for a big bore bottom end with all forged internals since cobra use hyperpathetic pistons and powdedmetal rods.
