Make a Hypothesis on my setup.
Hey boys/lady's Im doing a H/C/I install in this crappy winter weather in my non heated garage. Here is what Im installing, please post your thoughts about my setup and my possible rwhp/tq #'s. Thanks!
AFR 205 59cc Heads, dual spring upgrade, ti-retainers.
Comp cams cust. grind 230/234 591/598 114+4
QTP HVMC Stainless headers with QTP Catted Y pipe
Magnaflow Catback
LS6 Intake
Hardened Pushrods
SVO 30# Injectors
ASP Underdive pulley
SLP Lid, Ls2 chains, Ls6 oil pump all the necessities.
This is all through an M6 and a stock rearend. Im hoping for 450-470 rwhp and 400-420 rwtq.

Guys stop worrying about static compression ratios... DCR is where it is at...
Your DCR should be around 8.6 with those mods, I am assuming you fly-cut your pistons (1cc) and you are using factory composite head gaskets. Mine was 8.38 and I was running up against KR and had to reduce timing in some areas.
Other than that I think determining your HP before you modify and/or dyno is asking for it... Not trying to rain on your parade. I had a little more cam (232/236) then you and was able to hit 450rwhp but I lived on the dyno for weeks... A FAST 90/90 setup would have made it a walk in the park... If you have the option it will make your goals easier to hit....

A friend had the exact same setup but with stainless works headers and a smaller cam and made 440rwhp. With a larger cam and hvmc qtp's I should see around 450.

I know people that have identical setups and are completely different animals. Just cause you have a big cam isnt going to give you big hp/tq. there are several moderate cams that will give you better overall power/performance....Take my cam for instance. It will make 430 easily...at 7200rpms. It is basically useable up in the 4000+ mark. But Side is right about the 90/90. As a rule of thumb, these engines work like compressors. Therefore...more air = more power output. You can't run too much good airflow through an LS1/LS6 engine.

fast 90/90 is not in the budget at this time, but I will be getting one evnetually, I picked up the slp ls6 manifold with no provisons. Thanks for the input so far guys.

Also what type of dyno as this can drastically affect your results. Common dyno's are Mustang and Dynojet, but there are many more.
A 450rwhp Dynojet reading is about equal to ~420rwhp on a Mustang Dyno.
If you're after the biggest dyno number make sure you use a Dynojet, although as I understand it the load bearing Mustang Dyno's are better for tuning and give a better "real world" comparable number.
