Should, it's not that hard, keep the connectors labeled, the bolts can go in bags with a label to tell what they are, get a service manual,, so you have all the torque specs, a digital camera to take pics of brackets, hose routing, etc.
Just be organised, methodical, and patient, and you should have a running engine in no time

Your best bet is to get a book like (how to build chevy ls1/ls6) and there is another I have but don't know the title. They have important info in there like specs and tips I wouldn't attempt it without using one of them. For instance if you don't clean out the taped holes in the block for the heads you can crack the block when you run the motor.

Go for it! If you have patients and can turn a wrench (in the right direction) you can do it. Take 2K2WS6TA's recomendations!

I was in the same boat as you. I just did the head and cam swap on my 2000 ws6. It took a lot of patience, I didn't label anything and still managed to get it back together perfect. But unless you have a good memory or get really lucky just bag and label everything and take some pictures. If you have any question pm me and I'll see if I can help.

Good Luck!

The H/C swap won't be so bad, but swapping engines will be tough. I suggest you read-up on the steps involved because its not your typical cherry picker swap.
