what is the stock crank thread size? want to go get a rod/nut/washer to install pulley. is it the same as the LT1 cuz i already have one for that.

 

M16x2.0 cant tell you if it is the same as a LT1, sorry.

 

What kind of nut and washers are you guys using for this? I have the all thread cut to 6 inches. But everytime I try to torque the balancer on the washers start to bend and warp.

 

Try the torch method. I do it every time now. I heat the balancer up for about 2-3 minutes with a propane torch then haul *** over to the crank snout and push it on. It typically gets about 60-80% of the way on with a slight tap from my gloved hand. A stock bolt sucks it down the rest of the way.

 

I dont have a torch and can't find metric all thread at home depot or the two local mom and pop hardware stores. Where is everyone else finding it?

NAPA has a 5" (120mm) bolt for 6.00 Bought one yesterday

 

Ended up finding a local place (to me) called Metric Specialties and got a threaded rod, nut, and washer for less than 10 bucks. Works for me

i bought the tool that a board member makes. it looks great. haven't tried it yet.
