Default Are LS6 pushrods the same length as LS1?

Since the LS6 valves are slightly longer, are the pushrods also longer or is the valve difference not enough to merit a new PR? When I pull my heads I'm going to check out everything and find out which PR length I should be using.

hmm i dont know for suer, but the ls6 cam has a smaller base diameter, if that helps your equation

True. So if the valves were longer I'd guess the PR was shorter, but since the base circle is smaller, I wonder if they're stock LS1 length. I'd measure but my digital caliper only goes up to 6".

As far as I know they are the same. The smaller base circle works with the longer valve equalling the same PR length.

what Airwolf said is correct.same pushrods, with valves .6mm longer to take up the slack of the smaller base circle.

This is a tip from How to Build High-Performance Chevy LS1/LS6 V-8s(SA Design..Will Handzel). When swapping a camshaft, always check the valvetrain geometry by putting the lobe @ 50 percent lift and visually inspecting whether the rocker tip is in the middle of the valvestem. Also, at max lift the rocker tip should not be off the tip of the valve. Use different length pushrods to correct valvetrain misalignment. This is especially important when swapping in cams with different base circles-like the 02' and later LS6 cams.
Im sure you knew this but thought I would share it with you since I happened to be reading this book at the same time of this post... Hope it helps.
