Default synthetic oil

is royal purple worth the extra $3 a quart? are all motor oils the same? i mean they all have something like synerlec, supersyn etc. but it all sounds like the same **** to me. also while im on the subject, anyone had any luck getting rid of piston slap with either lucas or slick50? thanks

honestly, i dont think royal purple is worth the extra 3$/qt. i think your better off with either GC or M1 5W40 if you can find em......

mobil 1 here walmart 5 quarts = 20 bucks, need 6 if your running a bigger pf 61 filter though

I'd stick with Mobil 1. I seriously doubt Royal Purple offers anything significantly better over Mobil fr the extra $3 a quart.

If i couldnt get Royal Purple for 4.88 like I get it for I would be using Mobil. Im waiting for a test tube to send my oil to get analyzed though. Car has 109K used RP for about 60-70k, should be neat to see the results.

I dont know were you are buying your Royal Purple From .. But i only pay $35 for 5 Quarts of it. Offline & Shiped to my Door. Search More you will find it cheaper . IMO much better the M1 Dose not run as thin last Longer to
