Default Basic LSX engine info questions I have.

I searched around and found hints at what I am going to ask but nothing really definite.

Here goes.

What is the differences int he LSX engines?

Can you convert an LS1 into and LS2/6/7

Are heads/cams interchangable?

Stuff like that.

LS1&6 = Gen III
LS2&7 = Gen IV

Heads/cams/intakes can be changed between LS1&6

Some parts (Timing Chain, lifter trays) can be changed between all the LSX motors. Biggest differences between the Gen III and Gen IV are to the block (i.e. Cam Position Sensor location).

Other *Biggest* difference is displacement:
LS1/6 = 5.7L
LS2 = 6.0L
LS7 = 7.0L

Many other differnces, but those are probably the key ones to a basic understanding.
