Default change front seal or not

Im going to be doing a head cam swap this spring and last summer i did a cam swap and i changed the front seal.I only put like 800 miles on the cam and want to know if i should change the front seal again after only 800 miles of use.

I'd go ahead and change it just to be safe. You might get away with not changing it, but you also might end up tearing it all back down if it leaks.

what does a front seal cost and how hard is it to replace? take it form old school, change it

I reused mine after quite a few thousand miles. I just made sure to leave the front cover loose till the pulley wen on and centered it, then i torqued the bottm bolts first. Has been working perfectly fine and hasnt leaked a drop.

But like the others said, for a few dollars, why chance it. I reused simply because i was under a time crunch.

yeah i will just replace it,besides the one i put in last summer seemed a little looser then the stock one.it didnt take much effort to press it in the cover hole.
