Default stock lifter installation

I just want to confirm I installed my stock lifters correctly. I put the side oil hole facing up when I inserted them into the guides. I assumed the oil would run out and down to the roller on the bottom.

I couldn't find where this was mentioned in the ls1howto cam/install document. I also read the 98 service manual and couldn't find it there either.

Tell me I'm right. I've completed the install.

Thanks.

From what I understand it doesn't matter one bit. I had the same question when I put my motor together 2 years ago and I spoke to both the techs at Thunder and MTI and they said it wasn't an issue with stock lifters. Now aftermarkets that might be a different story don't know.

Thanks a lot for the responses. I'm glad I don't have to tear it back down.
