LS-1 # 6 rod??
I've been asked to assist an NHRA/IHRA stock racer, to ID and cure the recurring problem of #6 rod brg failure.
I've not seen the problem first hand, as of yet, but thot someone here may have some good input.
The engines are "professionally" built, and have excellent maintenence. However, during a freshen up, that same brg is beat to a pulp, and looks like it's on it's last pass.
NE help is appreciated.

you need to inspect the back of the bearing ,it can tell you if detonation is the culprit, look for signs of metal transferance also check to make sure the rod has enough side clearance in the piston some piston/rod combos are to tight and could cause side loading, also it could be a bent rod or restricton in the oil hole in the crank, this is not a common problem, have the injectors flowed to make sure there isnt a problem there. hope this helps......good luck.
