Default Smoking problems

Ok I have a 402 that will not stop smoking(burning oil) has anyone heard of that being a problem. The motor and heads have roughly about 3000 miles on them and it smokes like crazy. More so at first fire up, and also when it idles for awhile, please let me know if this is common or if I have issues.

do the leak down, maybe the rings havnt seated. Another strong posibility is valve seals. They may be worn or not seated properly.

If the valve stem seals are white teflon type (plastic) this could be your problem. We bought a pair of patriot stage 2 heads and it also smoked with in 500 miles on them. Patriot sent new OEM valve seals and that fixed the problem.
