Default How much is it to b-proof your engine

How much is the average price for a bullet proof engine. I know crank shafts are like 1100 but how much for pistons and the other usual suspects. labor at a shop included.

I want to go with a very streetable heads/cam setup for a 99Z and then dump a 150 shot of n20 for the track.

No such thing.

I have seen $5k motors blow up and $15k motors blow up.

For what you want you might be better off purchasing a motor built for your specific needs.

I remeber HCI would rebuild your motor with a forged 383 rotating assembly for $3999. That was you taking the motor to them. I think it was another $500 if you take them the car. They would still warranty it up to a 250 shot too.

Approx 3-4K for a forged 346 bottom end. Nothing is "bullet proof" tho.
