Indyboom,
I have the hotcam and love it everyone is biased with their cam.
So I suggest you do some research and decide. here are something's to consider. How much power do you want? Maintenance is always a factor for example some of the bigger cam's require you to change the valve springs every 20,000 miles. And alot of them don't bring the power until you are high in the rpm's. Last but not least the hotcam is pretty inrxpensive. Good Luck!

Oh im final on it.. Its mild yet radical.. I would always take a OEM engineered performance part over non OEM.. Its funny how everyone likes to push there cam on you!! Everyone has good info though! Thanks

^ OEM engineered means nothing. It's pretty much a carry over grind from the LT1 days.

I wouldn't limit myself to a Hotcam without researching what a cam like a Thunder Racing 224 or the aforementioned Futral F10 can do for ya. Futral F11 is a sweet cam worth looking into.

from what ive gathered about the hotcam (i had one in my hands for a couple of week and sold it for juice) i liek it because its cheap (i got mine and springs all for 200) the power peaks only 200-300rpm higher than stock, which will keep wear and tear on other vital parts low, and not worrying about the springs keeps you well in mind. if i had more money and another car *** a daily, hell ya id do a huge cam and heads but for the time being this car is my dd and it needs minimal down time

if your set on GM stuff get the ASA cam it has the .525/.525 lift but a bit more duration I think at 226/236 and its on a 110LSA so you know it will sound good with a overlap of 11*@.050 and I beleive it will make more power and torque
