Default lifter ?

my cars been apart since september and i need to measure for new pushrods at sum point. now oviously i cant start the car to prim the lifters- so can i just put the lifters in oil over night and still get an accurate pushrod measurement?

If you are running the stock rockers, use an adjustable pushrod and your lifter to measure. No need to pump up, just measure to the rocker with the lifter on the base circle and zero lash. Then add in your lifter preload. You don't even need to turn over the motor.
