I am placing an order with speed inc for a custom cam.
they have no form to fill out or anything and they just said to put the specs in the comment box?
I dont see how that is a very good way of doing things.
Anyway...what all do I need to include? every little detail? or will they just do what they want with the stuff I leave out? I am confused,
I dont even see anywhere on the site where I can purchase a custom cam?????
What all do I include? duration at 50?duration@.006? lift at 50 ? gross lift? lsa and icl? what else? should I specify xer lobes or just set the duration at 50 and duration at .006 to 49 apart?
I basically want an f11 size cam on xer lobes
I need some help. Anyone else order a custom cam from speed inc?
thanks, Troy

I would talk to them over the phone. Ask them to make a form where you can fill in the info that they'll need. Then they'll fax it over to you. You fill out the information, and then fax it back. Ask them to send you a fax confirmation. That way you'll have exactly what you ordered in writing and there will be no questions about who was wrong just incase something were to go wrong.
Enter Comp grind 3724/3725 HR112+4 if you want to be as close to the F11 as possible. You cna swap the LSA and advance if you like, but that's up to you. Other than that, they don't need any more info. It would be really hard to screw that up.

Well...I placed my order today.
The guy didnt even seem to know what I was talking about when I said lobe number etc....but I told him intake lobe 3724, exhaust lobe 3725, that I wanted a lobe separation of 112, and that I wanted 4 degrees of advance.
I dont know...he just seemed kind of...new or something...nice guy though.
Think I should be ok?
and the good thing is....he said it would only be about 3 business days.

The butt of the cam should say 3724/3725?
And I planned on checking the cam card as well.
3 days did seem kind of quick...I can wait two weeks I guess.
thanks again
